The three Capitulars from 2010 - Dom Benedict, Dom Gabriel and Dom Sebastian. Dom Benedict, a deacon, serves in Bergen, Norway; Dom Gabriel is finishing up his second year of theology at the Angelicum in Rome, and Dom Sebastian is studying theology at the University of Vienna. We hope they will all be ordained priests in the coming two years.

Father Josef congratulates Father Elias, a one-time parochial vicar in Donaufeld, on his twelfth anniversary of priestly ordination. Father Elias and Father Josef met at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Annandale, Virginia in 1999 when Father Elias was a newly ordained priest. For both it was a happy occasion to see how the course of Providence has run over these last dozen years.

Mass of Thanksgiving in the Sebastianikapelle
Father Maximilian held his Mass of Thanksgiving in the afternoon in the St. Sebastian chapel. Celebrated in English, a small congregation of family, friends, confreres and other the faithful witnessed Father Maximilian’s first Mass. Father Daniel preached a stirring homily on the awesome vocation to the priesthood even while expressing his own deep pleasure at the fact that Father Maximilian’s road to the priesthood has attained its aim: sacred orders.

At the end of his Primiz (first Mass), Father Maximilian expresses his thanks for his priestly vocation and ordination. Father Davis, Father Anton, the Provost, the Dean and Father Reinhard concelebrated the liturgy, while others attended in choir.
